The Charlotte Hornets aim to make an impact in our community by the Swarm to Serve mission. The Swarm to Serve initiative is committed to inspiring a philanthropic culture and strengthening the Charlotte region through intentional partnerships, charitable giving, and social projects in the areas of Education, Wellness, Hunger, and Military Care. The Charlotte Hornets Foundation is dedicated to the needs of the Charlotte metropolitan area and since its inception has awarded over 50 grants.
The Y is the leading nonprofit committed to strengthening community by empowering young people, improving the health and well-being of people of all ages, and inspiring action in and across communities. We strengthen communities by connecting people to their potential, purpose, and each other. Guided by our core values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility, we are dedicated to giving people of all ages, backgrounds, and walks of life the opportunity to reach their full potential with dignity.
The mission of Hospice and Palliative Care Charlotte Region is to relieve suffering and improve the quality and dignity of life through compassionate hospice care for those at end of life, palliative care for those with advanced illness, and through community education. We provide hospice care, palliative medicine services, end-of-life education, and grief support for 28 counties in North and South Carolina.
Our mission is to train and equip veterans and their families for fulfilling careers and develop their skills as they grow within an organization. We strive to ensure all our nation's veterans have a successful transition after service. We are serving and building a family of professional veterans who are determined to grow, build back their confidence, and find that successful career that they deserve after service.
Dress for Success is an international not-for-profit organization that empowers women to achieve economic independence by providing a network of support, professional attire, and the development tools to help women thrive in work and in life. They have served over 1,000,000+ women! Ty Boyd, Inc., has partnered with this organization and gifted scholarships in Anne Boyd-Moore's name to help their clients find their voice and use it to its full potential.
Big Brothers Big Sisters creates and supports one-to-one mentoring relationships that ignite the power and promise of youth. For more than 100 years, Big Brothers Big Sisters has operated under the belief that inherent in every child is the ability to succeed and thrive in life. As the nation’s largest donor and volunteer-supported mentoring network, Big Brothers Big Sisters makes meaningful, monitored matches between adult volunteers (“Bigs”) and children (“Littles”), ages 7 through 18, in communities across the country. We develop positive relationships that have a direct and lasting effect on the lives of young people.

Foundation For The Carolinas serves as a catalyst for philanthropic activity in our 13-county region and is a driver for major civic efforts. We offer innovative solutions that help individuals, nonprofits and companies bring their charitable visions to life. Our flagship program, the Robinson Center for Civic Leadership, is actively addressing the community’s most pressing challenges and greatest opportunities, from economic opportunity to neighborhood revitalization to education and more.
